2014 Rogue Climate Control

We have a 2014 Rogue SL with all options, including auto climate control.

What I can't figure out is how to just have outside air (fresh air) and no AC or HEAT.
Just like the vent function from other cars...vent only. Manual air flow.

What do we need to do, or is this not an option since it always wants us to select a temp!

With the auto climate off (so the display is completely blanked out), hit MODE.
The display will turn on and it will function in vent mode without A/C or blower on and outside air will be lit.
You can adjust the temp dial if you want to have passive heat and MODE to change the outlet mode (face/floor/window).
The blower icon will be lit but there will be no segments lit up.

You can push the fan to exit out of vent mode and resume normal A/C and blower operations.

I use vent mode all the time. Just be aware that since A/C is not running, any build up of moisture in the vehicle or inside the A/C unit will increase chance of interior fogging, especially on rainy / humid days. If this happens, make sure to run the defrost mode to decrease moisture and reduce fogging.

So, does this mean the fan is OFF when running in vent-only mode or can we have the fan on yet no heat or AC just to move outside air?

This means fan off (vent only).

If you want fan on but without heat or A/C, then you can:
- set blower fan speed to your desired setting
- turn down the temp (so the blend actuator doesn't mix in heat, unless you want heat)
- select any mode that doesn't include front windshield
- turn off A/C (if it is on from a previous operation)
- select fresh air

I think its stuck now. I tried pushing the fan and it turns on, but when I turn up the heat, its very low now. When I turn off the system, the fresh air button light stays on. I am pretty sure all the button lights turn off when you turn off the climate control. Can anyone confirm?

The fresh air light stays on for me as well, I think that's normal.

The nissan rogue youtube video from nissan shows the fresh air light turns off when the climate control is off. Can anyone else confirm? I also noticed that when you turn it back on it goes to recirulated air everytime.

Did you try the vent technique as well? I am pretty sure my fresh air light went off when I turned the climate control off. Can anyone who has not use the vent technique confirm if the fresh air light is on all the time?
