On my 14 SL, i have the bose system with nissan-connect. I have noticed a few times that the radio or something will play a bird chirping noise. Any idea why? Anyone else hearing this? Does it after driving a few minutes and normally just once. I looked thru the manuals and havent found anything yet.

This took me about a month to two to figure out. The sound you are getting is an alert from the navigation that it is telling you caution ahead. It will bird chirp if the speed limit is dropping soon or if there is a very sharp turn coming up. Keep the map screen on and test it out in a area where the speed limit is dropping. You may have to go over over the speed limit by at least 6-7 miles per hour. It drove me nuts because they don't mention it in the manual or on the youtube videos....

YAY! thanks! i figured it had to do with speed limit or something because it seems to do it at the same area everytime. there is really sharp S curves with narrow lanes.

You can either turn off speed alerts in your radio settings, or increase the amount you can exceed speed limits by without a warning. I had thought that this only worked if you were navigating to a destination though.

You can also get warnings from your lane drift/frontal collision warning systems if you are so equipped.

I don't mind the sound at all. Was going crazy because i didn't know why or what it meant and in the manuals it didn't say either.
