I need to change my engine, no warranty car was purchased as a salvage. If I purchase an engine off the internet will I need the ECU of the car it came from or can I replace any sensors from my existing engine without needed the donor ECU. Thanks in advance

The safe option would be to get the ECU of the donor car, but I don't see how you couldn't mate the motor to a new ECU.

Service guys swap ECUs or flash them for various reasons all the time, but I'm unsure of the procedure to help with that. You can always look at the service manual for the Q50 located at: Http://www.nicoclub.com/fsm

Change engine only, leave Old ECU. I have changed vq35 engine without any problems.
