Infiniti’s new Q60 Convertible is set to receive a special one-off design that pays homage to the great Bobby Unser. That’s the news coming out of the Nissan sub-brand when it announced the arrival of the special edition Q60 Convertible at the 2014 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance.
This is the fourth consecutive year that Infiniti has had a presence at the gathering and this time, the company is making its attendance a memorable one. Dressed in the same livery as the car Unser drove to win the 1968 Indy 500, the one-off Q60 Convertible looks deliriously stunning dressed in that red, yellow, black and white special wrap that honors the Rislone livery found on Unser’s Offenhauser-powered Eagle race car .
Oh, and don’t forget the huge No.3 decals on the hood and the doors of the Q60 Convertible, which serves as another hat tip to the legendary race car driver.
Not much else is known about the one-off Q60 Convertible Bobby Unser Edition other than Infiniti’s plan to showcase the model at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance this weekend at the Infiniti Pavilion Display where it will sit next to the same car where it draws inspiration from: Bobby Unser’s 1968 Indy 500-winning Eagle race car.
