2014 Bumper Protector

I have a 2014 Rogue SV and I noticed that there are two small nicks on my back bumper already. I was looking into getting the bumper protector to prevent these in the future but I'm having a hard time telling if the 2014 chrome bumper protector just protects the top of the bumper or if it also slightly wraps down and protects some of the back bumper. I haven't had a chance to look at the protector in person and am trying to determine using online pictures with no luck. Can someone who has the 2014 chrome bumper protector provide clarification or a better picture? Thanks!

It only covers the top and maybe a 1/2 inch down below the lip.
