IIUC... you walk within a certain distance of the car and it will allow you to push the door button and unlock the doors...
How far away can you be for the "proximity" to work? I'm just curious if I can be in the house with fob in pocket and have the kids run out to the car and open it up let's say to grab something they forget inside the car. If the doors will in fact open from some distance, would the kids be able to start the vehicle, and then drive away? (will the car stall if it gets too far from the remote)?
Do the doors automatically lock when you walk away? Again, how far? Can you manually lock them with the fob, and if so is there some sort of audible confirmation?
What happens when you go out to your car with a mostly depleted battery in the remote? Will it give you some warning? What happens if you are driving and the remote's battery dies, does the car think you've walked away, will it continue to run (yeah, possibly a dumb question)?
Can the battery be strong enough to open the doors, but not have enough juice to allow for starting?
Has anyone had their vehicle long enough to have had a battery go dead, and/or has anyone had any of the above happen?
Anything I missed in regards to keyless starting and the remote's battery??
