2014/15 Rogue Vehicle Security System (VSS) + some other Q's

What does this do? Is it just a panic alarm, or is it a break-in alarm? Is it attached to the door light pins, so when the dome light activates the alarm sounds? Or will it sound if someone tugs on a locked door handle? Does it also cover the hatch? Is there a separate siren/horn for security, or does it use the vehicle's horn? Does it automatically arm itself when you lock the doors? Anything else it might do that I didn't list?

And what is the Vehicle Immobilizer System?

My local dealership has a guy they trust that comes in to install remote start systems. He uses Audiovox Code Alarm 1 Button systems. Anyone have any experience with these? They want $580 installed for the starter (looks like it retails online for $249), which includes an extra key that the dealership provides for the installer, so I'll still have 2 keys. For $60 more, they offer a two-way remote which confirms that the car has started. The installer offers a lifetime warranty (not associated with the vehicle's OEM warranty). I guess the warranty is only good as long as the guy wants to make it good, as he is an aftermarket installer. I can get a more functional starter from the local car stereo/alarm place (I've heard good and bad about this place) for the same price after I provide a key, but then I cannot go back to Nissan in case there is an issue later on down the road. Any thoughts???
