2013 SV AWD - metallic scraping sound while accelerating

Posting on behalf of a friend's car, there's a noticeable metallic scraping sound when accelerating, way more noticeable if the car has been parked for a while. Generally goes away after less than five minutes of driving. Automatic transmission, generally don't engage the parking brake. Wondering on initial thoughts, because it's still under warranty, bit would rather use independent garage if this isn't covered under warranty.

I had an issue sort of similar to this a few months ago. It was like a metal grinding sound when I accelerated but it would be on and off at random. Turned out to be a rusted/loose bolt underneath when I brought it to the dealer and it was fixed under my warranty. Not sure if your problem is the same since yours stops after a few minutes of driving.
