Hello everyone,

I just recently purchased a 2013 Nissan Rogue Special Edition. It has Bluetooth for making calls but it doesn't seem to have the ability to stream music via bluetooth (correct me if I'm wrong please).

It also came with a proprietary cable for Ipod (30 pin for older iPods), which is absolutely useless for people who do not own iPods...

Well, I do not have an iPod, and I was hoping to purchase some sort of 30-pin to bluetooth receiver adapter like this one: (http://www.costco.ca/Aluratek%C2%AE---A ... f0Eq7vU%3D)

However that product is not working properly, it connects to my phone but when I play music, nothing comes out.

The reason why I want to do this is so that I can use the controls on my steering wheel to control music playback (without having to use AUX cable and the AUX input).

Maybe someone here can offer some tips and suggestions regarding this issue ?

Thanks!

Jack

I want to bump this post because I have the exact same problem. The following two products are tested and not working:

http://www.amazon.com/ViseeO-WMA1000-Tu ... 00B52LLJ6/
The unit did not even power up

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009WNR13U/
Phone pairs with the unit and Airplay shows that phone is outputting audio to the unit - but the car radio is ignoring it and not aware that anything is connected to the ipod source.

Any solutions yet?

Thanks!

Hi JJackJi,

I had a few more attempts and I was unsuccessful to find a product that works. As a temporary solution, I have bought something like this locally:

http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Portable ... 00HSHPFRG/

It's not the same product as shown but it's similar to it. Sound in a car is as good as 30pin connection. Not even slightly worse. This was a big surprise for me. Of course it does not have steering wheel functionality (other than volume). It gradually converted into a satisfactory solution for me.

Please let me know your experiences.

Thanks!
