I have a 2013 Nissan Rogue SL with 9,000 miles on it. Underneath the front end, there is a rubber piece that runs the width of the car, that for lack of a better term, I'll call a rubber "tongue". It looks like its purpose it to keep splash up to a minimum and maybe for aerodynamics, I don't know.

My question is, my rubber tongue is awfully bouncy, and by the passenger's side, doesn't really appear to be attached to anything. I can't tell if it is hanging down lower than normal or not, I just noticed it is a bit bouncy.

Is this normal? The reason I ask is, we have had some relatively deep snow recently and I had to drive out of my unplowed back alley (where garage is) a few times to get to work and don't know if it something broke part of it or not.

Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks!

welcome to the forum. its not a "tongue". its a Engine Splash Shield Guard. lol i changed your title.

its gonna be a tad loose, but at the same time i would check to make sure its still held on. the clips that it comes with are garbage. i just use zipties to attack it. just look under the car and see the small holes, and make sure none(or nor more than half of the holes at most) are missing the plastic clips.

OK thanks! I'll check it out. Thanks for your advice. I've had the Rogue for 11 months and so far I love it.

This being my 3rd Nissan I have owned in a row, I learned early on to buy a big bag of those plastic trim pieces. I found a bag of like 30 of em on eBay a few years back, I think I still have probably a dozen or so. Point is, these babies have come in handy more than once. It's a good thing to have a few spares of in my opinion.

We know about your post on the other forum. :nono: Don't hold your breath waiting for an answer from them.

BTW, you can get those clips at your local hardware store.
