Posting here for some help and any and all advice is very much appreciated. I have a 2013 Nissan rogue. I dropped my phone under the passenger seat and had to move the seat all the way forward to retrieve it. Following that the red airbag warning light flashes on my dash and the yellow passenger airbag off indicator light is on. I tried clearing it by turning the car off 3 times with the flashing sequence of the warning light and it goes off but comes right back on if a passenger sits in the seat. I then tried checking the connections under the seat and don’t see an obvious issue. Anyone have any advice on this? Clearly moving the seat forward did something. If all else fails I’m going to buy one of those airbag360 devices so the airbag is always on and avoid spending thousands.

First thing to do is find out what the problem is. Most parts store free scans can read the Bag Brain and tell you what codes it's throwing. There's also a manual diagnosis mode which can tell you what's wrong, although using it is a little stilted. See pages 18~21 here for how to enter diagnosis mode, and the flash code chart starting on page 168 for how to read it:

Bear in mind that DTC's which happen when you move a seat are almost always wiring or connector issues and not broken hardware.
