I remember I paid pretty close to the "invoice" price listed in Edmunds (lower after the rebate) several years ago. Can I expect the same with the 2013 models now? Any thoughts? Thanks.

you try and be a bit more descriptive? (exact model, color, finance, how much your putting down, etc)

if your asking could you take a 2012 model rogue and pay close to invoice, in September? possibly- but with winter time fast approaching, its gonna be harder. usually fall/winter is when SUV sales go up, and convertible sales go down. spring/summer months its the complete opposite. so when the season is "IN" for a particular car, dealers are reluctant to give the car up without a good profit (they'd rather just keep it since the demand is out there.)
all of that being said, you do have a few things in your favor:
the rogue model isn't changing for 2013
other suv's that are the "runner ups" to the rogue ARE changing and being redesigned for 2013, thus stealing some competition.
the new pathfinder is coming out, and taking some spotlight away from the rogue

Thanks for your reply. I guess I was asking in a general sense and don't really have anything specfic in mind. Appreciate your thoughts though.

I think they offer a $500 rebate with the 2013's. Why not look around for a 2012 and save a lil more money since there are only minor changes?

I think the price has also increased for 2013.

Personally, I just pulled the trigger on a 2012 SV last week because of the large rebates and dealer's need to move the 2012s.

I got 4K off sticker with a new 2012 Rogue SV.

The Nissan cash back offer for September is already @ 2K from the factory.

Of course they tacked on a $450 "documentation fee" and a couple of other typical BS items but still ended up paying under 24K for a new AWD SV Rogue with a 27K+ factory sticker.

I am in the market for a Nissan Rogue S AWD, just the basic model. Anyone can comment on what is a good price?

Use http://www.kbb.com, http://www.edmonds.com, and http://www.truecar.com after entering your zip code into each. They will tell you the fair market price for your specific desired trim, packages, and options in your location.

I recently purchased a 2013 Rogue that had a sticker price of $27,210 with 4 factory installed options. Then I added another 5 dealer installed options that brought MSRP $27,664. Dealer invoice was approximately $25,900 plus whatever they had to pay their service guy to install the 5 extra accessories. My local sales tax rate is 7.375% and the DMV fee for plate transfer was around $250, give or take. My price out the door after $1,500 in total incentives was $26,300, meaning I paid something like $24,200 for the vehicle, or about $3,550 off MSRP, give or take. That includes the incentives, so the dealer actually received about $2,000 less than MSRP.

I would expect right now before the 2014 Rogue comes out on Sep. 10th that you should get very good deals on 2013 models. They are having their clearance event.

Keep in mind the older '13s are going to have a higher MSRP on the window sticker than the newer ones because of the "mid-year change" that consists of nothing but lowering the price.

I'd say a decent price on any new 2013 right now would be at least $2500 off MSRP as listed on nissanusa.com. If you're willing to take whatever color they have available and you're not fussy about specific options, you can probably do better, maybe even by a substantial amount. Start at $2500 off MSRP in your mind, and try to go even lower.

Sounds good to me. You didn't say if it's leather or if you got any options with it. Tech package?

Brand new kbb.com says the fair value new is $22,000. The first person who bought it took care of all the depreciation for ya ;)

Was it a CPO?

Seems like a basic SV model. Bluetooth, reverse camera, etc.

Not a CPO. Bought used. They wanted $18k and I had come to the lot for two 2012 Rogues that had ended up selling before I got there for $14k, $15k. Showed up with a bank financing check and I guess they knew I meant business.

Pretty sure if they had that same car sitting there for 4 1/2 years it would have taken a price drop...
