The base S trim comes standard with air conditioning, six airbags, halogen headlights with LED accent lighting, power windows, keyless entry and a six-speed manual transmission.

The new Sentra will be available in base S, FE+ S, SV, FE+ SV, SR and SL trim levels.

2013 Sentra pricing

Sentra S (manual transmission): $16,770
Sentra S: $18,040

Sentra SV: $18,750
Sentra FE+ SV: $19,150
Sentra SR: $19,650

The SV starts at $18,750 and adds illuminated steering-wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls, premium cloth seats, perimeter security system and a six-speaker stereo. The SV Driver’s Package costs $1,000 and adds a 4.3-inch color screen, automatic headlights, Bluetooth connectivity, passive keyless entry, push-button start and the Easy-Fill tire pressure monitoring system, which chirps the horn when the tires are properly filled.

The FE+ variants of the S and SV achieve 40 mpg on the highway. Except for the manual-transmission S trim, all the other models achieve 39 mpg on the highway. The FE+ package costs $400.

The sporty SR ($19,650) adds 17-inch five-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels, sport-oriented front and rear ends, a unique grille, lower-body side sill extensions, a rear spoiler with integrated LED brake light, and a chrome-tipped exhaust pipe. So wait, is it 15,990 like you stated at first for the S, or 16,770 like you stated later?

My bad - That second number is, from what I gather from Nissan's documentation, the price as of 1/1/2014.

Just finished reading a couple of reviews on the new 2013 Sentra, and they were less than stellar.
Engine size is down (1.8 instead of the 2.0), and both power and torque is down as well.
Apparently, it will be the slowest car in it's segment. The 1.8 is the only engine option as well.
It also comes with the dreaded CVT. The CVT is even worse when it's mated to an underpowered engine. Awful.
The reviewers were not much more enamored with the styling and overall handling either.
Initial opinion (mine) is that Nissan missed the mark again.
Too bad, because I had a 2003 SE/r which I loved.
When they came out with the then new Sentra in 2007, I took one for a test drive and hated it.
I was really hoping the new 2013 Sentra would be a step forward. Apparently not.
Maybe a new SE/r will follow. I hope so.

Everyone except for Nissan agrees with you.

why-nissan-needs-an-affordable-rwd-spor ... 64000.html

Word has it powertrain NVH is through the roof on the new Sentra. I remember when Nissan used to make AMAZING 4 bangers, now they all seem to suck except for the Juke MR16DDET
