The nose does look pretty ridiculously bulbous from that angle. And the protruding lamp housings suck entirely.

The front wheel arch has the same thing that's going on on the crossovers. On the Crossovers, the point is to make them look "sportier" and aesthetically alter the proportions by visually reducing the space between the wheel arches. The Juke does a passable job of almost looking like it might be a 2-door using this technique (in combination with the hidden rear door handle). But on the Altima none of that is achieved. I still think the wheel arch design looks okay, but it's definitely different. I'm not really fond of fender styling carrying back into the door, particularly because it brings it beneath the A-pillar. The nose of the car should be in front, not beneath.

Agree. Disappointed, but not surprised. I guess it's buh-bye SE-R. Carlos appears to be chugging the CVT kool-aid.
Isn't this no different than the current model, though?
The current version can be had with a regular automatic transmission. For 2013, it's gonna be CVT exclusive.

The current version can NOT be had with a traditional slush box auto. It's CVT or manual.

Actually, I thought they dropped the manual option for the sedan. If so, CVT is currently the only choice.

I know for a fact you can currently get a manual in Canada... not sure about fat lazy USA though.
