Just joined, replied to a fellow forum member & hopefully helped with his decision & now I need a suggestion or 3 myself.
Got a 2013 Murano S & the wife needs more oomph out of that sad excuse of a factory stereo. It's clearly the weakest of any vehicle we've owned to date. We're approaching 50, not young birds but not dead yet!
We have had crisp, clear, bump'n systems in our day at the semi pro level & while we're NOT look'n to go there, she's right, this stereo is weak as hell! We do NOT want to replace the stock head unit but rather, want to use it for the tuner only. I've got 3 Hi-Fonics 2 channel amps & a Fosgate 4 channel un-opened, cellophane in tact (Zeus).
While I've been out of the stereo scene for a good 20 years, I figure the basics can't be that different. None the less, I do admit I have to ask for help & I am asking! We want a total stock look, am going to replace all speakers & necessary cables but want to use the amps we have simply 'cause they're sweet & super clean (power-wise 2 ohm stable all day).
I'd love to hide a sub-woofer in this vehicle somewhere but not looking for a box; my dual band-pass days are long gone! Not looking to do the x-over, fans or circuit breakers unless it's a must but instead am looking to let the wifey play Snoop with a deep rumble in her back
& then again, play Celine with glass breaking clarity...Suggestions PLEASE...
