Greetings!

Just picked up my M37x last night and am super excited. One thing that didn't come out great after the dealer detailing was the illuminated kick plates. I wanted to try and polish them a bit, but cannot find out how anywhere. I'm not even sure if they are aluminum or stainless. Does anyone know? Also, anyone have some tips or cautions on polishing them back up?

Many thanks!
Stacy

Hi Stacy. Welcome to the forum.

I'm *pretty* sure they are aluminum. But perhaps lets wait for some other members to chime in.

Welcome to NICO and congrats on the new toy!
I am fairly certain that the silver areas are aluminum. I mask off the center plastic area with painter's tape then I use a buffer to shine mine up. Aluminum wheel polish, metal polish, etc. You can also apply some Mother's (or other brand) wheel polish to a microfiber towel and hand rub the area. Just be certain to protect and avoid the center. Break or damage the center lighted portion and you have to replace the entire kick plate - not available in separate pieces.
