Not too much has changed from '12 to '13. Highlights:
- The Sport Packages are now available on AWD models. They include the contents of the RWD Sport Packages, except for 4-Wheel Active Steer. In addition, 20-inch all-season tires replace summer tires.
- The Sport Touring Package is now available on M37x AWD.
- The Premium Package adds the Rear Sonar System1 and Infiniti Connection™.
- A new Performance Tire & Wheel Package with 20-inch all-season performance tires and sport brakes replaces the previous 18-inch Wheel Package.
Biggest thing in there is the Infiniti Connection addition. It was previously only available on the JX35. IC is basically OnStar on steroids.
Talking to people who have JX35s and use it, they love the ability to call Infiniti Personal Assistant (concierge service that comes with all new Infinitis), the concierge knows their exact location, can find things nearby, or near their destination, and send the address directly to the navigation system. My favorite demonstration of this is to call IPA and ask them to find the cheapest gas in the next 30 miles. We all have smartphones with apps that will find the cheapest gas within a 30 mile radius. But finding cheaper gas that's behind you is sort of pointless. You're not going to turn around to save $0.10/gallon. But since IPA is a human being, they can do truly smart searches. The IPA people are in Dallas though. So don't expect them to be 49er or Giant fans when you call looking for Football scores.Infiniti’s telematics system uses the navigation system and cellular technology to provide safety, security, and convenience services. Information and functions are available via the navigation system display, the Internet, or Web-enabled phone.
Basic functions are 24-hour automatic crash notification, emergency call, enhanced roadside assistance, stolen vehicle reporting, remote door lock/unlock, alarm notification, maintenance alert, scheduled maintenance notification, and My Schedule (via Google Calendar™). Available Infiniti Plus services include destination requests by voice or Internet, mobile information services, and drive zone boundary and speed alert notification.
Pricing pretty much the same from '12 to '13.
