Supportive and constructive comments for the Nissan suits who are lurking would probably be appreciated...by everyone!
Go for it wade001

Best wishes.
can do! but it wont be entirely off topic n keep it short, I could write an essay

!
I'll start about the coupe.. IMO, they hit the design of the coupe for the most part perfect, I'll explain why I say this. At the basics, for a japanese car it is by far the nicest and cleanest looking design! The shape/curves of it flows perfectly, simple but sexy. A lot of cars out there are not like that, they have too much going on and the lines don't flow. The common feeling i get is something along the lines of, looks like they took an air hose and puffed it up! I like the QR although it is limited, and love the 6spd. What I would have done to change it is only
one thing, that would have been to make it at least RWD. This car would have been the perfect predecessor to the 240sx as far as I'm comscerned!
Now, about what Nissan is doing as far as the altima and somewhat in general. I really like the 4th gen altima, sedan included. As far as I'm conscerned, the now previous gen altima was it's own car. The new one is not even close to that, it looks like they took the looks of the maxima and 370z and just threw them together into some frankenstein. It's not bad, but it does not look like its own, by that I mean it should look different from the other cars they sell. The lines/shapes are too complicated and confused, the car does not flow at all. Then, they eliminate the manual option, that just kills it for me! Nissan is supposed to be known as a drivers car, they just contradicted themselves with that move completely!
The 2013 coupe, now only given with the 2.5 and CVT. Again my comment is the same in regard to the CVT as the only option.
Please don't think I'm conceited, but now we have the Maxima,Altima, and altima coupe only provided with a CVT! People Are trying to grab any year model in manual because that is a great car when it comes to having some more fun, the way it should still be and that their motto is supposed to represent that aspect! IMO, They are killing their main car lines ability to support what they say they are about! Just imagine the new maxima with a 6spd, and maybe you can imagine just how incredibly different the car would be in every aspect of performance/modifying/etc.. I would have drooled for something like that, even a RWD AC!
So, IMO, The new Altima is neat, but a fail

! Their answer to the BRZ/FRS is a fail if only FWD is the only option with a performance car perspective, especially, I repeat especially if they only give the CVT!! I pray they at least wont do that! I also dont like the design at first look

.. IMO, they should have been the ones that first came out with a 4 banger RWD sports coupe, instead of waiting for someone else to do it first! But, if they did something like our car and RWD or AWD and a solid motor, they would have the market.
Nissan has shown some real cool cars that are awesome, like the GTR and Juke-R! But yet sell cars that dont give anywhere that experience. If they just stopped forcing the CVT people would think differently! I'm not saying everyone should drive manual, or trying to talk down the CVT, but that one thing changes the car completely and they should at least give the option for those drivers!
thats a big gripe I have with nissan right now

..
Now that that is said....
