...this time as a top safety pic.

To be real honest, would that sway you to buy one? I think most of us have established that we don't like the new sedan. Would a good safety rating, or a bad one, sway you to buy or not buy a car?

No that wouldn't sway me to buy a Versa because we all already know all the problems it has... Problems that other cars in the Nissan line don't see for quite a while and may never see...

IMHO Nissan needs to destroy the Versa. I understand they wanted to get into the market for a nice cheap new car but the problem is that I know 2 friends of mine which are girls, the 2 girls are also friends.. They each got a brand new Versa (we were probably in the 11th grade).

Now 4 years later they both want to get rid of their Versa's one of them wants to get a supercharged Xterra which I highly agree with. However my other friend says she doesn't want another Nissan no matter what I say to try and talk her into it I can't. The stupid Versa put a bad taste in her mouth for Nissan as a brand and as soon as the Versa is payed for she is getting rid of it...

Basically what Nissan is doing is cutting off their nose to spite their face.

It reminds me of how the Chevy Cavalier spurned an entire generation of car owners from GM. If the entry-level offering is crap, its unlikely they'll trust anything else in the lineup when they're ready to upgrade.

No the one girl that is waiting until its paid for ran the engine hot so she had to refinance it. To cover the costs of the repair.

The other girl is just saving money so that she can sell the Versa then buy a 2001- 2004 supercharged Xterra.
