Hi all,

I was wondering if it is a common problem with Nissan. I purchased a brand new 2014 Nissan quest on 4/2014, after just a few weeks with a thousand miles, my driver seat developed a baseboard size raised imprint on the driver seat where my right bud cheeks would land on. I took it to the dealership and they said they replaced it which appear to be the same.

A year later which is now, the imprint is the same and on top of that, the 2nd row left hand seat now has a slight peeling on it, I carefully inspect other seat, it appear the driver seat back rest also has a potential peeling as well. I took it to the dealer and they now said the peeling is cause by me scratching it. I take really good care of my car and I am 100% sure I didn't scratch it neither does it look like a scratch.

This is my first time buying a Nissan I did have a infiniti Fx35 with no problem, but to me the quality of the leather in my Quest are very low quality. I do understand leather can develop wore appearance after years of usage but my van only has 10k miles in it and this is already happening? Am I the unlucky one having this problem or is it a common thing with Nissan or Quest?

75k miles on my 2011 quest and no unusual leather issues observed except the steering wheel peed off to s***.
I suggest you stay on the dealer while the warranty is in effect. Replacing leather sets out of pocket will give you a major headache.
What do you use to clean it?
