2012 Rogue whining noise

I just bought this used car and noticed it made whining noise when it was at low speed about 22-25 MPH, e.g. when I approached a stop sign, decelerating will cause this noise. When I switched to Neutral it still had this noise when at the low speed 22-25. I read a lot of posts that CVT caused this noise. Some said it could be alternator. Could it be the CVT issue in my case. I am worried...
Could anybody have this issue or know? I appreciate the answer
The car is SV AWD with 44, 500 mile in it.
