Wish me luck folks, I just traded a flawless 2009 Rogue I never had a bit of trouble with for a 2012 (couldn't pass up Nissan's fantastic lease loyalty deals).

Brilliant Silver in color. 23 miles on odometer and awesome so far :dblthumb:

Did the same thing a few months ago, but for a 2011. the 12s were just coming out. I traded my fully loaded 2009 with only 20 thousand miles for a brand new 2011 fully loaded, nav and all. It seems like it is totally different car. Nicer dash and love the Ipod connection. I really liked my 09, but I LOVE my 2011. Good luck. :dblthumb:

can any of you folks honestly say the new rogue's transmission is smoother in any shape or form?
i know nissan is constantly updating/upgrading - so it would be cool to see newer transmission's behaving better.

Having had a 2009 and now a 2011. I believe that the transmission in the 11 is much nicer. It is always in a nice rpm range. It feels snappier from a dead stop. Maybe it is in my head, but I think it feels better overall. I only have 2500 miles and getting 21 mpg around town.

had a new altima as a loaner, and not a single groan, moan, whine, or rumble from the transmission. i know its a different beast and doesnt have the transfer case nor the differential; but it certainly was flawless.

I can honestly say that the CVT in the '12 model is smoother than the '09 model. In my '09 the only complaint I had about the CVT was from 0 to 25 mph. It seemed like it lugged the engine and you would have to push the gas pretty hard to get up to speed. The new CVT seems much smoother. The engine get's up to rpms quicker and smoother. Very nice improvement.

thats simple engine mapping improvement you speak off. it has new software between the throttle & cvt computer.
