I finally was able to get into diagnostic mode and its one long, held flash and 6 quicker ones = 16.

I cannot for the life of me find any info on this.

Only thing I found was for a Sentra or some other in a crash sensor zone fault, or something.

If anyone has any info it would be appreciated.

Oh, I have done the airbag light reset multiple times.

FWIW - Some digging showed a possible bad connection under the passenger seat - so I reconnected the yellow connector which is ALWAYS for ANY car yellow, so if you have other issues with any car, unplug and plug back in this connection.

I haven't had any airbag light flash since this - could have been loose.

Will keep an eye on it. Drove to work this morning 35 minutes, and no light. It would have went off typically in the past by now.

Nissan airbag code 16 may be due to a malfunction in the crash zone sensor circuit.

They replaced front sensor you mentioned and another one inside and no more airbag flashing light.
