2012 QX56 Rear Air Compressor

I have a 2012 QX56 and the rear air compressor is weak. The dealer wants $760 to replace it.

Has anyone replaced the air compressor by yourself yet? What's involved?

I just replaced mine. I think I was quoted the same price. I asked for the breakdown of the part vs. the labor. I didn't think the labor charge was unreasonable but the part seemed high. So, I went to Infinitipartsdeal.com and bought the part $100 cheaper from them (including the expensive shipping) and gave the part to my local dealer and just paid the labor (that website is an Infiniti dealer selling parts at reasonable prices and not horribly marked up). That site sells 100% genuine Infiniti parts, so there is no risk in getting some aftermarket junk. I recommend you go the route I did. $100 isn't chump change...
