2012 QX56 - Anybody tried replacing a tail light or bulb

Hello. I hope this makes sense. The tail light is not working on a 2012 QX56. I replaced the small two-pronged bulb in the light on the rear hatch with no trouble. However, the tail light attached to the rear corner of the vehicle is a different story. I got the light off, and where there would normally be a bulb there is a plug that plugs into a little circuit board. Does anybody know how to fix or replace that? Is there a fuse somewhere that I should check? I priced the whole light assembly and it looks like it costs over $300. Hopefully it does not need to be replaced.

It was a fuse, if anyone is curious.

Good to hear that it was a fuse b/c I believe those tailights are LEDs, and you would need to replace the entire light housing.
