2012 QX56 2nd Row Bench to Captains Chair Conversion

Under the wife's mandate I've been ordered to convert our "new to us" 2012 QX56 from its current 8 passenger bench configuration to a 7 passenger config.

So a couple of question for the gurus out there:

1. Is it doable?
2. Is the 2nd row passenger seat the same in both configurations?

Found a mint console and drivers side seat for $600 sounds fair? Infinity quoted me me $19,000. I about fell out of my chair The parts list was 2 1/2 pages long!

depends on the condition. "mint" is relative. if you see it and you like it and you have the dough, then yeah its a good deal.

Shouldn't need a dealer to do it, I have done many swaps like this before and I am very handy with cars. How long of drive from Pheonix would that be?

Did you complete this? I am looking to convert a wheat color captain's chairs/console setup to bench. 2011 qx56...anyone have the bench or input on how difficult this will be? what about the heated seats wiring setup? thx!

Hi, I have a qx80 for 6 month, as I have three Kids it is ok for me. Once a month because of various reasons I wished it was equiped with 2nd row bench, Just as my previous 2015 gl450 had.
Got tired with it and I have decided to make conversion. I have a proper jump seat, and this week it will be wraped with matching nappa leather. The fitment is easier than I thought. Seatbelt will be waist only, but its ok for me.

It was different thread, this one is "bench to Captains", and mine was "Captains to bench"...

Anyway here are the photos. The seat will be heated (this will be operated by left passenger switch), manually folded. It can be removed in 20-seconds as it will use its original method of attaching it. Original middle console brackets will be used to lock it in place.
I will supply more photos as I get it back from workshop.
The plastic part with cup holders will be leather wrapped, maintains cup holder feature.
Both captains chairs fold and rotate without any problem. So I think it combines all good features from bench and captains chairs

I'm trying to do the same thing but the other way around captains to bench conversion. Any ideas where to find these seats used? I tried ebay and stuff but wanted to know if there was a better place. Also is there any additional parts needed or is this a truly bolt on deal?

salvage yard. craigslist. fleabay. nissan/infiniti dealer, online nissan parts place. just takes some time to look around.
