I think it's a big improvement that had to be made.

If I were in the market I would consider it. Main reason we wouldn't buy it? Nissan dealers around here are so poor on providing reasonably priced, competent service departments who give a cr*p about the customer. We plan on keeping our current Versa hatchback for a long time but if we had to replace it we would certainly go back to Honda. Honda dealer support here is that good. More than offsets the additional $$$ you pay for the Honda name.

Wow that is a shame that the Nissan dealers there don't have reasonably priced vehicles. I really don't like dealers like that and try to avoid them. I had the opportunity to drive the Versa hatchback and I actually liked it more than I expected to. Honda would be another good choice but so would Hyundai. Thanks again for reading my blog!

I have to give Nissan credit for out appliancing Toyota.

If they brought over the hatch with the 1.6 turbo direct injection engine, I'll consider another Versa.

But no way I'm trading down for a Versa sedan.

I'll rather spend my $ on the new Ford Focus hatch or Hyundai Elantra. Each accomplishes higher mpg, while driving better. And I don't want to be in the same insurance pool as individuals who buy the $10,000 car.

It's not that they don't have reasonably priced vehicles. Quite the contrary, they are only focused on initial sales. Repair and service departments are that bad.
