Just bought me a 2012 Nissan Versa 1.6 S! Hope I'm posting in the right place. New to Nissan and new to this forum.

Thanks!

Not long ago, I would have been the last person to buy a Nissan let alone a new car. Although I liked the Ford Interceptor concept and might have considered one of those new but it never made it into production. Come from a family of long time Ford nuts.

This Versa is my first car bought brand new! A third car to my fleet. I like it. Its exactly what I need right now. Me and my brother carpool and now we can get better gas mileage and reliability and have a more care free commute. And the car price is easy on the wallet compared to a lot of other new cars. A nice bargain.

So why does the heat not shut off when I turn it off? Also the TPMS keeps coming on?

The tire pressure may be low, never had a problem with mine until I got the new rims. For my model, you have to turn off the heat manually. I'd get the sensors checked if your tire pressure is good.

blackonwhitev,

Nice rims.

My brother already aired up the tires a few times. But it eventually comes back on. And it did go off once too. I thought maybe it was air pressure due to the cooler weather arriving for the season but my brother disagreed.

Yeah, I notice that when you put the heat on cool or mess with the other lever (air circulation?), it doesn't seem to blow the hot air anymore. Otherwise it always seems to be on even when I think its off.

Even though I'm a Ford person by upbringing, I felt the Versa was a better value car than the Fiesta. Anybody agree?

I agree with you. The base S is the best deal I feel. Once you start adding the extras the car becomes less of a deal.
