I'm having an issue when I accelerate and rpms are around 5 - 6k. It's like I'm taking my foot off the gas completely and I have no power, when I do take my foot off the gas and press it again it will accelerate again, but will usually cut out again when I get back up in rpms. It doesn't happen all of the time but does seem to be happening more often. Any ideas? I am planning on contacting the dealer tomorrow, but thought someone may have had this issue before and might know what I'm in for.

Thanks!

Did the situation you described occur suddenly, and out of the blue? Does this occur intermittently or consistently as described? Was your car recently serviced, etc? Is power loss the only symptom? Are there any noises when this occurs?

How many miles on the car? Is your check engine light on?

Surprisingly enough, it seemed to start after I got new tires. My old tires were quite bald and I was getting a lot of slippage, the new tires definitely have more grip than I have ever had, even more than when my old set were new.

It does seem to occur intermittently, sometimes a bunch of times in a row, but other times it will do it once and won't happen again till the next day.

There are no noises, no lights, and power loss is the only symptom. When it happens I can take my foot off the gas and press it down again to get power again, just sometimes if I floor it it will do it again.
