Hello everyone. I have a 2012 Infiniti M37 base model. My factory radio/Nav (Bose) system broke, and I bought another one on eBay from a wrecked infiniti m37 2012. It's a great unit, the only problem is that it was from California, meaning the map is set to California. My car is in Puerto Rico, and I don't know how to update the map to recognize the new location.

What do you recommend?

Somewhere in the settings, start your car and keep it in park and just explore the menus, I know theres settings to change the traffic, weather, and map to your country but I cant remember where its at (all are separate and need to be set individually)

As for updating the map, afaik it cant be cracked and you have to spend ALOT on a DVD update from 2017 or 2021, I cant remember what the last year is.

Alternatively you can save up, email Grom and ask for a discount for the grom lite and buy that for your car and just install it your self (grom lite will add carplay and android auto)

I just checked and Infiniti doesn't even sell the DVD's anymore, they're discontinued. There are a bunch of them on eBay, but that may not be the problem. The North America DVD may not cover the Caribbean, and if that's the case the OP will need to find the Mexico/Central America version. If it helps, here's a link to the 2012 M Navi Manual:

Thank you guys. Great feedback. I’ll keep working to see if i can find a setup thru the manuel. Thank you vstar650cl for that. Also thanks to aj170 for your suggestion about Grom, this probably is the fastest and cheapest route.

Will keep the forum posted.
