my wife has a 2012 nissan Armada that we bought used. About a month ago we got in just fine and when we got home the passenger side door will not open from either side. I was able to get the door panel off after pulling the front passenger seat out and the glove box. the lock cable seems to be activating properly but the inside door cable has a lot of slack. the outside handle cable seems to be operating properly. Does anyone know how to get the door open besides destroying the door actuator to release it from the door striker.

Is it very cold where you are?
I once had a recurring problem with my Xterras rear door in cold weather only.
Turns out some ice was forming.

So I sprayed the heck out of the insides with WD40 ( no no water will condense)
Problem never came back..

Not saying yours is the same cause.. just a though...

we live in Louisiana so it doesn't get very cold here. I ended up smashing the outer housing of the actuator to be able to get to the release lever for the door striker.
