Newbie here. Just got my 2011 Rogue SL AWD. I was trying to get the auto circulation to work, but couldn't.
Mine goes like this.
Press once for Air for Outside lights up. Press again for Air inside lights up. Press again both light are off. I tried this

"Push and hold the outside air circulation /air recirculation button for more than 1.5 seconds to set the automatic control between the outside air circulation and air recirculation modes."

Never got it to blink. Anyone run into this?

ichris,

Welcome to the NICOClub Rogue forums!

I do not own a 2011 model so I cannot comment on the auto-recirc mode. Perhaps another 2011 owner can chime in and answer your question.

It is my understanding that when both lights are off, you are in Auto Circulation.

Thanks! That's what I thought. Kinda weird they left that in the Manual. I was doing 1 Mississippi, 2 and let go... Nada.... :chuckle:

Automatic switches from recirculating inside air to outside air or vice versa.

I just verifed that with the dealer today and you are correct the manual is for any model year below 2011. Two lights out you are in auto mode.

Am I understanding that it automatically switches from one to the other? If so, what would cause it to flip from one to the other and what are the benefits of this?

The Auto mode can be used for either heating or cooling. This is from the manual:

The AUTO mode may be used all year around as the system automatically controls constant temperature, air flow distribution and fan speed.

Thanks for this post. Car problems seems inevitable. Auto parts is a tough and expensive car problem just like this thread but folks you must be careful enough in doing so. Here in Investigation deepens in auto parts price-fixing scandal, I found the price fixing scandal which Furukawa Company involved with. The automotive market has been shaken up by a price fixing scandal involving a parts supplier. Furukawa, a company that provides electronic automotive parts, seems to have been colluding for several years in a number of countries to fix the price of parts, and several of its executives are looking at prison time. It seems a big trouble for Furukawa Company as the year ends.
