I got a 2011 Rogue and of course that the transmission is gone at 76,500 miles. I found a transmission from a 2015 Rogue Select, which they said it is interchangeable. I got home and the transmissions are very similar, but not the same. I believe the transmission is for 2015 Rogue, the new models. I keep searching and can't find much information about the 2015 transmission. Is this transmission going to work on my car? Or are the internal parts the same, so I can swap it?

The transmission in the 2015 select is essentially the same as the 2011. There may be some minor improvements, but it should still be compatible. The CVT in the 2nd gen Rogue is completely redesigned and will not mate up with the internals in a 1st gen Rogue.

I took it off a 2015 Select, but for some reason it's the Rogue 2nd generation transmission. Can I replace the original 2011 transmission with this one? The 2015 tranny seems like it has the starter on it.

After spending all day investigating, I found out that the 2015 Select original transmission is RE0F10A( the same like mine on the 2011), but it was replaced with RE0F10D (that's why it has the starter on it). So the transmission that I bought is RE0F10D. So can I replace the 10A with 10D? Obviously they already did it, but how, they are different and the TCM?

The principal difference is the letter at the end that indicates the production years.

Can I use the 2011 Transmission Control Module that's on the car, with the 2015 transmission? Does it need programming or anything?
Thanks

Hi Dihorul
Were you able to swap the re0f10a with the re0f10d? I have the same situation my original is a 10a and the used replacement I got is a 10d.

I want to avoid doing the job twice by putting the 10d in and having to take it out.

Thanks
Terri

The best advice I can give anyone swapping a used CVT is, get the donor TCM along with the trans. You'll save yourself a world of heartache.

Separate. I think on a gen1 it's located behind the battery. Looks just like an ECM but only one connector.
