Hello all.
I've searched all over and can't find any information on this issue I'm having. Hoping for some HELP.
This model has the intelligent key.
Recently I replaced the catalytic converter. I disconnected the battery and removed the alternator to remove the manifold.
When I reconnected everything and tried starting the car, it wouldn't crank.
In the on position there are no dash lights except security.
No accessories work. Door locks don't work, power seat doesn't work, windows don't work. Stuck in park.
Brake lights work.
I get a message on the dash to "Check steering lock"
The steering is not locked as I can turn the wheel both directions.
I took the under dash trim down and I can hear and feel the switches in the steering lock module working.
Could this be a faulty steering lock module? Or perhaps a security "immobilizer" issue.
Any help appreciated.

Sounds like you may have zapped the main fusible link in the card on the battery. Check that and the 4 sub-links on the front of the card:

Thanks for the response.
I'll check it out, but my luck would have to change for it to be that easy.
Fingers crossed.

Wow, one response and you nailed it.
It was a blown fuse in the link at the positive terminal.
thanks
