I installed a new Kenwood headunit bought a ASWC-1 and harness AX-NIS32SWC so I could just plug everything in without having to splice wires. I also disconnected the blue tooth connection in the back of the vehicle and connected wires in the harness per the instructions. My steering wheel controls still don't work. Seems like everything is hooked up okay and I even reset the ASWC-1 several times. Do you folks have any suggestions or maybe something I missed? I plan to try to call Axxess sometime this week when I have time.

Thanks,

steering wheel controls are usually a separate module you have to buy & install, and then do a re-learn.

I have the same axxess aswc-1 module and will be attempting an aftermarket stereo install next week. I'm hoping the streering wheel controls work with the aswc-1. The Axxess web site says it is compatible with my 2011 Rogue but another web site "crutch fields" says not compatible. Can anyone confirm if the aswc-1 will work with a 2011rouge??

Hi ImStricken06, I looked at the FSM and notice that the audio controls for the steering wheel are on the 20 pin connector and the Tel signals are on a different 16 pin connector. I am going to try to wire the ASWC-1 into the 20 pin harness which is what the Axxess instructions recommend. The harness I have is for the 16 pin connector. I appreciate any suggestions anyone might have.

Hint: The Rogue is not listed via the selection on the main page, but it is listed if you goto the 'Instruction Manual' link for the PESWIPS and do a search for the Rogue:

I have not tested this, but when cross referencing Peripherals wiring instructions with the FSM it does appear to be correct.

Good luck!
