2011 QX56 Bumper Protector

I'd like to put the bumper protector on my brand new 2011 QX56, however it has been put on hold until Infiniti can find another supplier. That tells me it could be a short while or a very long while. I have clear bra on it now while I wait.

A few questions for those who have them...

1. Would you purchase it again for close to $200?
2. Have you had any problems with it?
3. From what you can tell, does it simply attach with 3M tape?
4. Why did Infiniti discontinue these particular bumper protectors?

It seems odd the same bumper protector (in this listing) will fit both the new model QX and some older models (2009, 2010).

My salesman told me that Infiniti was having QC issues with the bumper protector and was looking for a new outfit. I don't know if what is on ebay is "old" stuff, but be forewarned. The install was told to me to be just the peel back of the adhesive.
