2011 Quest AC light on with heat

What is the proper way to run the heat without the AC unit on? I already have some AC issues with blowing warm air so now that winter is coming i dont want to over work the compressor.

as soon as i turn the heat on, AC light turns on, i have to switch it to auto then it can be de-activated, BUT...... as soon as i swap modes or check the rear temps its back on. it always shows on when i view the rear temp as well.

i just want it off at all times but from querying google it looks like its a programing issue that made it into production??

If you shange teh mode that the air come in from to outside and not re-circulation you can turn off the a\c by pressing the button. Once the recirculation is on the a\c will remain on from what i can tell.
