2011 Nissan Rogue SV dashboard question
I just got a 2011 Nissan Rogue SV. What is that speaker looking thing in the center of the dashboard?

If you don't have the Bose Audio System then It's nothing.
It's just there for the Bose Audio system but the SV doesn't have that.
Though, It is a good place to mount a Aftermarket speaker.

Thanks! If I wanted to hook up an aftermarket speaker there, what kind of speaker do I need and is it already pre wired?

You can fit a 3" speaker and it is not prewired so you will need to run wire for the speaker. I also have a 2011 SV and in order to run the center channel you will need to use a processor that has a center channel output. Our stock head unit does not have a center channel output as far as I could see. I will be using a JBL MS-8 to do this but you will be able to find another processor on the market that can do the same. The other thing is that the cover for the center channel speaker we have doesn't have any holes in it so you will either have to drill out holes in the cover or in my case I plan to cut a hole in the cover the size of the speaker and I plan to cover it with grill cloth. I hope this helps.
