I have a Nissan quest 2011 and the driver side power window switch is intermittent. Sometimes it goes for several weeks working just fine and then it stops working for a day or two and then starts working again. I do not think it's the motor or regulator since the speed of the window is just fine. It doesn't seem to be slowing down at all just intermittently working. I'm wondering if it's the switch which seems to be easy to replace but before I do that I was looking for more information.

Yes, it does sound like it is a faulty switch, there are a couple of used ones on ebay right now for around $40.

Thanks for your reply. That's what I was thinking. Will give it a try. Thanks for the ebay suggestion too.

Or you might try taking the switch apart and cleaning it, for example with the electric contact cleaner spray or finest sandpaper. But it's Nissan, there will be intermittent electrical problems anyway. That's how they make a living.

If cleaning does not help, the only way to find out the root cause would be tracing with a multimeter to see where power goes cold.
