Just opened the 2011 Nissan Motorsports program materials and saw some positive changes. More pro and grassroots racing programs being supported and a slight increase in payouts. For the first time, a NASA National Championship is worth $1000 (must be three starters, however). If you win a SCCA Runoffs title, it can pay up to $4,000 if you're driving a B15/B16 Sentra or 370Z/350Z. If you can win a National title racing any older Datsun or Nissan, the payout is $2K. Win a SCCA Divisional road racing title and you can collect $800.
There's also payouts for World Challenge, Grand Am, Formula Drift and truck racing series, so post here if you're interested in those awards. You must register for this program and display certain Nissan graphics on your car and driving suit to be eligible and I'll also post that info if anybody is interested. Registering also gets you access to discounted parts to maintain your race effort. Nissan is getting back into motorsports in a big way for 2011 and racers everywhere should be happy to see it.
Finally, the new NISMO parts catalog came with the program materials and features the Nissan Sport Project T2 350Z on p. 3-4 along with the latest racing parts! Nice to get some recognition after a few years of racing in National competition.
