Ok guys I'm buying a new car and have found two that are in my sights and in my price range. At first I was shooting for brand new so I was looking at the 2012s. Well then the dealership I was at has a 2011 Nissan AC that is new. It is Red not metallic, 2.5S, Black Suede, no sunroof navigation or premium sound. At first I fell in love with it I have test drove it and its very nice. Also has only 3200 miles assuming its from test drives. Then in my search I found a 2008 Nissan AC. it is 3.5SblackSE sunroof premium sound black leather winter frost 33k on it. Very nice indeed. Has a small ding in trunk lid and a black scuff on the driver side side skirt. The 2011 is priced at 19900 and the 2008 they are asking 19k. I am stuck on the fence as to which way I should go. Should I stay with buying a new car as wanted in the first or would the 2008 be a better option as it has almost all the features i am looking for. Both are automatic :(. What is everyones opinion. Im leaning toward the 2011 due to the newness. Mom says new dad says used. Let me know your opinions or personal experiences with the two different models.

Yes the 2011 has puddle lights and I believe it's a couple inches shorter from front to back. It has the upgraded front end with projector headlights wich are a big plus to me.

I bought a new 2011 rather than a used v6 2009 and I regret it all the time. I would die for a v6 haha even automatic

The little lights on the underside or the interior door trim that light up the ground when you open them. I thought '08s had them though

i thought the puddle lights were just an add on option. I bought the '10 3.5sr new and it didn't have em. I'd prefer the newer model's front end too. :)

I went through the same debate.
11 AC used with 7k miles or an 08 AC with 31k miles.
Chose the '11 AC due to the older model having the tan interior.

Puddle lights and phone Bluetooth speaker comes stock with the 2012 models. Some people think it's useless but it's actually very nice and I get a lot of compliments on it :)

I concur. 3.5 it is.

Don't think about which one you want more, but which one you'll regret more. In my opinion, you will regret not getting the 3.5 more than you'll regret not getting a newer model.

I'm biased. 2010+ just because of the newer front end. Also the newer spoiler, if you get the package looks great.

Power wise, v6 would be nice. But if anything pretty sure, people are more impressed of looking at the newer front end more then the older. But deep inside you'll be disapointed because your not driving a v6.

Does anyone know would the newer front end bolt on to the 08? Looks like if it did it would be a new hood n front bumper n grill. What about fenders tho or is it not even close to being bolt on? My buddy works at a dealership body shop so I can get the parts for cheap.

^Headlights too. And thats not to say it would bolt up exaclty anyway, but those are the variances. Its been discussed here many times, a few threads exist about it, its not worth it...

I think the newer the better, but not because of the front end (I can't believe you guys prefer the 2010+ front end!)
1. You'll never know the condition of the engine in the 08.
2. I think the warranty is important too!
3. A new AC model might come out soon (not sure about this, but if it does happen then the 08 will be referred to as "old")
4. Do you REALLY need a V6?

Get the one you like so you don't regret it later :)

Get a V6 only if you plan on performance modding it. If you're stance person like some of us on here, then just stick to the 2.5 and let her sit pretty :)
