Recently been having some idling issues. They are causing misfires diagnostic states. Also vehicle didn't stay on after 2 attempts. To start, light tap on the accelerator to stay on. Anyone with my info would appreciate it.

Any additional codes or just the misfire codes?

MAF? MAP?

I had the same issues where the car did not stay on unless I gave it a bit of gas (from a cold start).

I ended up cleaning the air intake valves and it cleared it right up. My car is also a 2011 M56x and when I cleaned the valves at 76k miles, they were very dirty with carbon build up.

You referring to the throttle body butterflies?

:) Yes, the throttle body butterfly valves! Sorry if I used the wrong term :)

At first when I was having this problem,I was going down the path of looking at the MAP sensor. I thought what the heck, give the cleaning a try, and it seems to have solved my issue.

OP, if you clean the valves you might have to do the relearn procedures for the idle, etc. Search the forum for them. It's not a bad idea, in your situation, to investigate that though.

Holy cow, that's what the valves look like at ~92k miles?

I don't have access to a media blaster, but I may give it a go with the carb cleaner and the toothbrush.

That was my car after using two different chemical cleaners in the previous few months. They did a little on the rear 4 ports but gummed up the valves. 92K miles. The throttle plates were nearly spotless compared to the valves themself.
