Hi all,

I own a 2011 Infiniti m37x with around 32000 miles. Recently while driving my slip light has came on and then my car would gradually just lose all power. This has happened to me probably 4 times in the past month. It happened again today on the highway and my SES light came on as well. I nearly got into an accident and decided to finally get it checked out. I went to autozone to get my error codes pulled. It came up with P0101, mass air flow circuit range/performance and P006A MAP/ MAF - Throttle Position Correlation. I've googled both and read the causes/solutions. Has anyone experience similar problems and can tell me their resolution? Much appreciated.

There is another thread from a member who had the P0101 code, I don't think he updated us to the result.

For diagnosing both codes together I would start by looking over the vacuum hoses, checking for disconnected or damaged ones. Then you, or someone will have to start checking the sensors. I would start with the MAF.
  • P006A - MAP to MAF correlation: Map sensor, MAF sensor, EVAP pressure sensor, Intake air temp sensor, Intake air leak, or a wiring issue with any of them.

    P0101 - Bank 1 MAF
    P010B - Bank 2 MAF

    3.7L
    Bank 1 - passenger side
    Bank 2 - driver side

    MAF - Mass Airflow Sensor
    MAP -Manifold Absolute Presssure

MAF sensors were notoriously finicky in Nissan vehicles back in the early 2000's. This is my first Nissan product since, but it wouldn't surprise me if it continues to be a problem.

Do you have any modifications done to the car?

@Altim8M37 besides buying new air filters there has been no changes to the car.

it doesn't necessarily mean that it's a mass air flow sensor. I was just bringing up something that I recalled from 15 years ago. I would definitely have a shop or the dealer pull the code and see if they can pinpoint exactly what it is.
