2011 m37s remote start problem

I have had my 11 M for about 2 months and I have been tring to get a remote start done since. I have taken the car to 2 different Audio shop who spent a total of 4 days on the car. They get the remote start to work but both of them keep on getting the same "key system Error". They have tried two different mod but have had no luck. My last option is to go to the dealership who will install it for double the cost. Any idea why the Shops keep getting that error?

Sorry you have not had a response yet on this ... I suspect that there isn't anybody here who has experienced this (or very few people have put in remote starts perhaps!).

Unfortunately, your best bet may be the dealer now. Although, if you have electrical systems experience, you might want to look at the schematics in the Full Service Manual (link is in my sig).

i have an 08 and my remote start works just fine ! ill ask my buddy who owns a stereo n alarm shop about it!
so you are just adding a remote start with an alarm like VIPER ? or you are just adding a remote start to the car ? let me know so i can ask
