2011 M37s question.

I bought a 2011 M37s last month and have a question about it. From everything I've read, the "s" is supposed to have 20" rims and 4 wheel active steering. My rims are 18" and I have no idea how to tell if it has the active steering. So is my "s" an "s" or a base model with an s on the back? I have no issues with the vehicle at all. Love it so far, very fun to drive, just wondering why it doesn't have the rims it should have.

Do you have the sport bumper, etc. as well?

Didn't even know there were different bumpers so I had to look it up. Looks like I have the base model bumper.

If you take it to a dealer, or have another way to read the VIN, you can confirm if it's an actual S model. or a base with the S emblem added.

Looked up the vin on different websites and looks like it's a base with s emblem...

Yeah, if you don't have the sport bumper...it was either:

1) In an accident (less likely and generally harder to hide that detail)
2) Person just rebadged it (cheap and easy to do, so extremely likely)

Sport will also have paddle shifters, black headlight housing and Big brake calipers just to name a few....

Dealers misrepresent trim/options all the time. Rebadging makes it even harder to decipher the options.
Did you purchase it from a licensed dealer? You may have a case even if the dealer was unaware the badge was changed. If he marketed it as sport and quoted the features that come wit it. If the ad only listed 'S' then you're out of luck....

I believe they did advertise it with the options that come with the s. It has the premium package and I'm not that but hurt about it. It has the minimum I was looking for in a vehicle. I'm definitely happy with it.
