2011 m37 started sounding like a diesel at idle with brake. You only hear it inside of car with doors closed and windows up. Goes away in neutral with idle up. Have used stethoscope and noise appears to be fuel line related.

Seems to be an engine and/or car design resonant frequency issue. Temporarily goes away when you shift from D to P, or turn AC on or off, etc. appears to affect both 3.7 and 5.6 engines and has been discussed here before without any resolution.

I have not had time to get under my car and check it out. The viscous California winter has made the ground wet and a freezing 50 degrees out. :chuckle: Once the weather improves I'll check it out.

You may be on to something with the fuel line. It may need additional bracing or insulation to keep it from resonanting if it is indeed the source of the noise.

Revised title to reflect topic.

Advice borrowed from the ROGUE Forum:

-4a. POST VIDEO CLIPS OF YOUR NOISES: If you ask a question regarding some noise, make sure to accompany your thread/post with a video- with an AUDIBLE sound clip. we are not mind readers, and don't know how you differentiate between taps/bings/tangs/rattles, etc.

Yeap... mine does the same thing. I heard its the fuel pressure regulator making that noise.
