On my 2011 M37, the driver side mirror will not click/lock to the open position. Instead, it is loose, and the wind will eventually blow/fold it against the car. I guess it's just gotten loose over the years. It is not wobbly, it's just the "locking" part doesn't seem to work anymore, or it's loose. Is there anyway to fix this without spending a gorillion dollars?

Are your mirrors power folding mirrors? If so, using the switch completely close and then open them a couple of cycles. That fixed it for me.

if you hear the motor continuously spinning, then you need a new folding motor.

You can try putting a thick layer of aluminum tape along the bottom joints of the mirror. That may keep it steady and you should not see it. I bought black aluminum tape for my qx70 mirror.
