Hey all,

I am new to the Japanese car market and looking for a suspension setup on my "oh so high" g37x. I basically decided on some eibachs and H&R spacers. now my question is maybe can i use 25mm spacer in the rear on OEM wheels? I know for sure the 20mm Spacers work fine on the front (through these forums only) but i haven't seen or heard of anyone using 25mm, most say they want to but have not heard of or seen them on the car. Also it looks like it could use the extra push, but just not sure if i will encounter any problems with rubbing on the 5 extra mm's in the rear?

I am opting on the stock wheels for many reasons, so i want to maximize the look and stance on the car. Just looking for some advice from those who have the experience.

Also i read on some other forums that spacers do not increase handling. Now i used to race quads and i always used spacers and it really increased my cornering speed (at least that what i was told, and it felt faster). i don't understand why at a minimal there wouldn't be negligible improvements with 1.5" wider stance on the car. Not looking to shave milliseconds on my morning commute to work, but just maybe a little clarity on why it has no benefit, minus looks.

25mm with the factory rims would equate to a -20mm overall offest. IMO, this is too aggressive and will hit the fender.

Take a ruler out to the car. Measure from the sidewall to the fender lip. This should give you an idea how aggressive you can go.

The rims are the 18" not the 19" still to much? also, what about vibration issues with spacers. Its this just a failure at install or is it a defect in the product

If the spacers are hub centric, there will be no vibration issues. I would also opt for the centering rings so it will be just like putting the wheels back on the stock hubs. 20mm spacers all the way around should set nicely.

Correct, the 18" wheels are not as wide as the 19's which is why I suggested using a ruler to determine the best offset. On the 19's I personally would not go further than a 15mm and on the 18's I'd probably stop at 20mm. I've seen more aggressive offsets used on the G37 with careful planning.
