Hi...new to the NICO forum...just purchased a 2011 Infiniti G37X Sedan Slate Blue with only 18K on it....psyched....awesome car...great combo of power/handling/luxury for the money...but Bose system is weak...especially low end...I attribute this not so much to the 10 speakers in the car, but more to the amp(s)...I understand there is a dedicated 100 watt amp for (on) the 10" woofer in the rear deck...not enough drive...and a 225 watt amp in the trunk for the other 9 speakers...again way too little...

I'm wondering if there are other audiophiles out there who have modified the Bose system..either changing out the rear sub, door subs and/or 225 watt amp (the real culprit I think)...I've read that there may be limitations on modifying due to Bose's weird ohm ratings, impedance, etc...would love to hear from people who may have attempted or successfully modified stock system...thanks!

I just bought a 2011 G37X, too, that is slate blue. Great color. I came here for the same reason...want to look at my options for improving the sound. If you have made any inroads on improving the amps, I would like to know.

Sedan system does not compare to the coupe....anyway, you can add a sub to the back by simply using the subwoofer wiring and running it to an amp with speaker-connect inputs and installing an aftermarket sub. Granted, you will still be limited via the factory filtering.
