The update usually comes out at the end of each year. Apparently, this was not so for the newest edition. It hasn't been released yet. The 2010-2011 edition was released the end of 2010.mazz wrote:i have 2008 m with the hard drive

I've got 7.6-just popped in once-will take out when I get 7.7 (?)-still waiting. I'll sell you 7.6 for $100 plus shipping (5-7 bucks?). I usually sell it on e-bay for $100.00. Interested?gavnator wrote:I'm waiting for the disk update. Currently have 09-10 7.5 disk. They usually discount the previous release a little once they release the most current (7.6).
Navteq has a 12 to 18 month update cycle for most of their products which means the 7.7 update should be out by March at the latest.antzrus wrote:The update usually comes out at the end of each year. They're already at 22 months for the 2011 M (which was released March 2010) and at 27 months for the 2010 FX (released October 2009), both with '2009-10' maps that have never been updated by NAVTEQ.Kizio wrote:That's true, but they generally obligate themselves to a 12-18 month cycle rather than a specific 12 month cycle. That's why the newest one hasn't come out yet.
I'm really steamed about this, for the last 15 months, I navigate my 2011 M37x home to an unmarked spot along the nearest main street, and it gets it really wrong when I navigate away from home. I've complained multiple times, but I think we're just cursed!Blastphemy wrote:They're already at 22 months for the 2011 M (which was released March 2010) and at 27 months for the 2010 FX (released October 2009), both with '2009-10' maps that have never been updated by NAVTEQ.
And yet '2010-11' maps come installed in the 2012 FX and 2012 M.
